Students of Pre-Primary were beaming with excitement and donned their beautiful ethnic attire to celebrate the festival of Makar Sankranti. It is a festival which is celebrated across the nation by different names. Our young learners got to know the various names like Lohri, Bihu, Sankranti, and Pongal.Learners celebrated this festival in a unique way ,To introduce our young learners to the concept of buying and selling , we celebrated Sankranti in an innovative way.
Learners brought homemade festival treats like peanut chikki and til laddoo in labeled pouches and “sold” them to teachers in a minimal amount . The transaction was made even more realistic by collecting payment in the same pouches. It was an good activity.
