Activity name: Independence Day Celebration
Conducted on: Tuesday 15 Aug 2023 Grade 3 onwards
Concept of Activity: To instill among the students a sense of pride for the motherland and create awareness about our responsibilities as an ideal citizen.
The objective of the activity: To promote awareness about the National festival and to honor the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The students of the OES international along with the Principal Ma’am ,Executive Coordinator Ma’am ,Director of OIM graced the occasion with their presence. The auspicious day commenced with hoisting the flag followed by an inspirational speech by Principal Ma’am Dr Rashmi Choudhri which laid emphasis on our responsibilities as an ideal citizen and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. Followed by a speech given by the Director OIM Dr Ratnavat whose speech awakened everyone’s feelings towards the MotherLand.
India is known for its diversity and rich cultural heritage, a testament to the fact were the mesmerizing performances by the students of the OES International school which left the audience spellbound and feeling proud to be a part of this glorious nation. Speeches in Hindi and English enlightened the audiences about the sacrifices made by our leaders and value our freedom which is indeed a privilege .The melodious voices of the students performing the choir instilled a sense of pride among each and everyone present. A powerpoint presentation was presented by students which proved to be quite informative and enriching.
Success Criteria: The celebration of Independence Day brought awareness about the underlying message of unity in diversity. Understanding the pivotal role of the students in contributing towards the development of the nation by taking part in smaller initiatives.
